Multiple Log Selection in Server Control

(Maitre'D 2002, and later versions of Maitre'D)

Maitre'D allows to enable different logs that can help a distributor troubleshoot various problems. Those log files should be disabled by default, as they can get very large.

Serial:

You could enable this option if you use serial communication with a multiplexor. The VIEW button would display a text file called comlog.txt containing information on the serial communications.

Note: Obsolete in Maitre'D 2005

Datapac:

You could enable this option if you use the Electronic Funds Transfer module with the NCR protocol in Canada. The VIEW button would display a text file called 3201.txt containing information on the Datapac line.

Network:

You could enable this option if you using a network communication. If your LAN type is set to Net Bios + RS232, the VIEW button would display a text file called LanLog.txt containing the network information. If your LAN type is set to TCP/IP + RS232, the VIEW button would display a text file called TcpLog.txt containing the network information.

OPOS:

You could enable this option if you uses OPOS drivers for your peripherals. Touching the VIEW button and selecting the appropriate workstation would display the OPOSxx.txt file. The xx stands for the workstation #. The OPOSxx.txt gives information on the OPOS drivers' status at the specified workstation.
