Alphanumeric Promotion Folio

(Maitre'D 8.00.000.057 and later versions of Maitre'D)

You can have the workstation requests a Folio reference number for a discount. This folio can contain letters and numbers, and must be read after choosing this promotion on the invoice Print screen.

Note: This Folio can also be read from a magnetic or barcode card from a discount book, or a manager card, for example. The format for magnetic cards is ;1234567890? on Track 2.

Report / Invoice / Invoice Detailed Search

The Folio will be printed on checks.

Report / Invoice / Detailed Discounted Item

The Folio will also be printed on reports.

Note: If more then one discount with Folio is applied on the same check, the folios will be requested for each discount, but only the last one will be printed on checks and reports.

P.O.S. Control / Payments / Promotions

Folio:

Enable this option to display a full keyboard that allows for alphanumeric characters.

Note: A promotion with this option enabled can not be applied from the Order screen.

Folio Validation:

Enable this option to use multiple numerical validation ranges for discount folios of up to 10 digits.

When entering an invalid value, an error message is displayed and the user must enter another value.

You also need to save a file named Folio.ini in C:\Posera\MaitreD\Data

This file contains the valid range for folios, with one range per line. The first and last number of each range is separated by a dash (-), such as in this example:

100000 - 200000

500000 - 600000

900000 - 1000000

Note: spaces are not important.

Once this file is created, redo workstation data.

Note: If the Folio.ini file is not present in the Data folder, no validation is performed.
