CVM2 -"Bump Box" Instructions
(Maitre'D 2002-2003)
1 through 8 keys
These are the "BUMP" keys. To "BUMP" an order, simply
touch the numeric key that corresponds with the column you wish to remove.
The very large number 1 located to the right is actually a large touch
pad. It provides a large, easy target to bump the order in the number
1 position.
RECALL KEY
Any order that was bumped can be recalled to the last column for review.
Each key depression of the recall key will recall another order. The CVM
will recall up to 64 orders. Bump keys 1 through 8 will not function while
in Recall Mode.
Use RESTORE to return the screen to normal.
PREVIEW KEY
Any order in the incoming buffer (Notice the number in the lower left of
the monitor) can be previewed in the first column by touching the PREVIEW
key. Each key depression will preview another order. The CVM will preview
up to 64 orders. Bump keys 1 through 8 will not function while in Preview
Mode.
Use RESTORE to return the screen to normal.
RESTORE KEY
Touching the RESTORE key will return the screen to normal mode if in the
RECALL, PREVIEW, SUMMARY, STATISTICS, PARK, or REDIRECTION modes.
4 ORDER MODES
Four orders will display in the mode.
The 5 through 8 "BUMP" keys are not used.
8 ORDER MODES
Eight orders are displayed.
SPLIT SCREEN MODE
This mode is normally used in the kitchen to separate drive through order
from the counter orders. With register #1 designated as drive through,
orders from drive through will display on the top half of the monitor,
all other registers will display on the bottom half. The 1 through 4 BUMP
keys control the top half, the 5 through 8 control the bottom half. The
PREVIEW and RECALL functions have separate buffers for the top and bottom
halves of the screen. PREVIEWING will display the waiting orders for drive
through in the upper left column and waiting orders for the counter in
the lower left column. Likewise for the recall function except these are
displayed in the upper right and lower right columns respectively.
SUMMARY SCREEN MODE
This mode displays a quantity summary of all menu items from all orders
on this monitor. The items are displayed in alphabetical order. Orders
BUMPED from the monitor will reduce the quantities and incoming orders
increase the quantities. The 8 BUMP button is used to scroll down through
the summary box, touch RESTORE to return to the top of the summary box.
PARK MODE
This mode is used to PARK a customer from the drive through window. Press
the PARK / STAT key; << PARK >> is displayed on the monitor
(see note). Next, press the bump box key 1-8 to PARK the particular order.
This changes the color of the elapsed time box to show that this order
is PARKed and waiting. It also starts a second elapsed timer, which keeps
track of PARK time until the order is bumped. When the food is delivered
simply bump the PARKed order with keys 1-8.
Note: Depressing RESTORE will remove you from the PARK MODE if you
get there accidentally.
STATISTICS MODES
Depressing the PARK / STAT key (Press twice if you are at the monitor with
PARK mode) displays each of the area time statistics. This includes the
number of orders, average time per order, the number of orders under the
programmed time, and how many orders were over this time. In addition,
if any orders were PARKED from the drive through, it displays the number
and average service time per order. Touch RESTORE to return to normal
viewing modes.
