The Caller ID device, from Telcomp, can be used to enter incoming phone numbers with the touch of a single button.
Caller-ID pops up a screen on the Workstation with the customer's phone number. With one key stroke, this phone number is sent to Maitre'D as a keyboard entry, and thus copied onto Maitre'D's first Delivery screen.
If that customer has called in the past, Maitre'D displays all information related to that client before the phone is picked up. This speeds up and improves customer service when taking new orders for existing customers.
If this is a client's first call, the phone number is added, but the employee still has to enter the name, address, and other information.
