Emax Pole Display

How to use the EMAX pole display with the Maitre'D workstation.

1. Connect the display using a cable that follow the specification given at the end of this document.
2. Copy the Emax.TXT file in the workstation's file directory.
3. In the workstation's autoexec.bat file, add the following command line just before the MAITRE'D line: copy emax.txt COMp:

where p represents the actual used Com port.
This will set the Emax pole display so the two sides will display the information.

CABLE SPECIFICATIONS

* Pin 4 and 6 are jumped together on both sides.

NOTE:
If the Emax pole does not display on both sides after you've proceed with this set up, make sure that the MODE.COM program is available on the workstation and add the following command line to the autoexec.bat file, just before the 'copy emax.txt COMx:' line:
