General Parameters and Features

(Maitre'D 2002-2003)

The CVM system consists of the following devices:

  1. Main Control Unit - this is the unit that communicates over the communications line, controls all output to video monitors, and reads the monitor Bump Boxes.
  2. Bump Boxes - these units control each of the video screens.
  3. Video Monitors - must be VGA / SVGA style.
The CVM system communicates via an RS232 port connected to the multiplexor or via one of the workstations serial ports. The CVM is implemented as a remote device. Any items required to display on a monitor must be programmed to output to the appropriate remote device.

Condiment and Modifier items will follow their menu items to the proper monitor(s). Priced condiments and modifiers are also supported.

The CVM system will support up to a maximum of 5 monitors. Menu items can be programmed to go to any combination of monitors.

The CVM3 monitor is available through POSERA in Seattle. Contact is Chris Reiff at 206-364-8686
