How Auto Increment Mode ID work in 2005

(Maitre'D 2005 and later versions of Maitre'D)

Database / File / View

1. If you look at the File 007 information, you will see an Auto Increment Value field. In this example, the value is 26319

P.O.S. Control / Revenue Center / Item Setup

2. Select an item that is configured for 8 modes.
3. Click the Copy button and select all available revenue centers and modes.
4. The item is now available for 19 revenue centers and modes (8+ 11)

Database / File / View

5. If you look at the File 007 information, the Auto Increment Value field is now 26338.

6. Here is how the system changes the increment.

26338-26319=19

We had at the beginning the value 26319

And we already had 8 modes for the item.

We added 11 modes

So, Maitre'D recreated the item with the 8+11 value ID for a total of 19 (but like the first 8 mode of the item already had a value ID, Maitre'D will not use the first new 8 ID value)
