Installing Service Packs for Maitre'D

ATTENTION: Upgrading Maitre'D from 2003 Service Pack to 2005 software will NOT work!
Upgrade to Maitre'D 2005 Service Pack 1, available in the download section.

(Maitre'D 2005, from Service Pack 1 and later versions of Maitre'D)
(Maitre'D 2003, from Service Pack 10 and later versions of 2003)

Make sure to respect the following rules when installing Service Packs for Maitre'D

• It is required to upgrade any Auxiliary Back-Office computers on the system
• ALL EFT batches must be closed prior to update
• In no circumstances should this update be made during the day. It must be done after EOD prior to any sales.
• The Corporate office PC must be updated first.
• Stores must be updated with Service Pack 1 or 10 prior to a broadcast sent from an updated Broadcaster module.

Recommended steps to install a Service Pack:

1. Shut down all workstations from the front of the house.

2. Perform a Full System Backup

3. Stop Maitre'D server.

4. Exit all Back-Office applications.

5. Run the service pack executable from the Back-Office.

6. Once the installation is completed, restart the Back-Office computer.

7. When the computer is back up and running, make all workstation data.

8. Finally restart all the workstations.
