Items Search

(Maitre'D 2003, from Service Pack 2 and later versions of 2003)

P.O.S. Control / Revenue Center / Items Search

You can search for a Sales Item based on any of the following criteria:

• PLU
• Item Description
• Record Number

The search engine will first try to match the exact search string and if no exact match is found, it will then find the first item that starts with that search string. For example, if you have the following items:

• Diet Coke at record 1001
• Diet Pepsi at record 1002
• Diet 7up as record 1003

If you do a search by Description and you enter the search string "Diet Pepsi" the system will bring to Diet Pepsi, record 1002.
If you do a search by Description and you enter the search string "Diet" the system will bring to Diet Coke, record 1001.
