Liberty Workstations Setup
(Maitre'D 2002-2003)
Liberty computers come with integrated LAN cards that are not using the
same address 300 and IRQ 10 as our basic Maitre'D configurations.
We have seen so far from Liberty's addresses 6000, 6200 and 7200 and IRQ
9 and 11.
In order to setup Maitre'D properly, you must ask your provider what is
the proper configuration of your network card.
Let say that the address is 6000 and the IRQ is 11.
To make it work properly under Maitre'D, you will need to make the following
change:
The default network card address and IRQ for this workstation is add. 300
int. 12. You need to edit the C:\POSERA\MAITRED\PRG\POSNET\Protocol.ini
file.
When you edit this file, find the block of text containing those lines:
- [ms$ne2clone]
- drivername=MS2000$
- INTERRUPT=10
- IOBASE=0x300
- SlotNumber=1
And change the value to get
- [ms$ne2clone]
- drivername=MS2000$
- INTERRUPT=11
- IOBASE=0x6000
- SlotNumber=1
After you made these changes, create a workstation disk as an Elographic
workstation type.
NOTE: After any update of the Maitre'D software, you will need to redo
this procedure.
