Report Center issue vs. Windows NT 4.0

(Maitre'D 2005)

Synopsis

In the Windows NT4 environment, the Crystal 10 version installed by default by Maitre'D 2005 is not supported.

Solution

Therefore, the solution is to use Crystal 8.5 instead. Here are the needed steps to do so:
  1. Close all Back-Office applications.

  2. Rename MDReport.DLL to MDReport10.DLL

  3. Rename MDReport85.DLL to MDReport.DLL

  4. Rename MAITRED\PRG\CRPE32.DLL to CRPE3210.DLL

  5. Restart Back-Office applications and verify the Crystal Version.

Note: Maitre'D will not be able to resolve these issues with future versions, as even Microsoft has dropped Windows NT 4.0 support at the end of 2004.
