To give you an idea of how to setup your Maitre'D system, we will look at a typical configuration using a back office PC, 4 POS workstations with local printer and 2 remote printers (kitchen and bar).

Configuration with a LAN:
In this configuration you will need the following hardware components:
  1. One (1) Back office computer (with a network card)
  2. One (1) 80 Columns reports printer
  3. One (1) Ethernet Hub
  4. Four (4) Touch screen workstation (each with local printer)
  5. Two (2) Remote printers
  6. In addition to these hardware components, you will need the following software:
  7. Windows operating system on the Back-Office computer

With the network configuration, each touch screen workstation may serve as a printer server. This means that you decide to share the local printer on station # 3 for printing coupons for the deserts.
