What is needed

Requirements

• Windows XP Pro (SP2)
• 256mb
• 1GB hard-disk space
• Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 (or higher) with 128-bit encryption
• TCP/IP network
• Internet connection

GIFtePay Installation

1. To do so, start GIFTePay, click on Activate.
2. You will get a screen showing a serial number, a session code and a machine ID.
3. Forward that information to activate@dcap.com.
4. When you get the answer, enter the code in the ENTER CODE box in Setup / Setup information

Installing the DSIClientX control

The DSIClientX control is not included in Maitre'D installation. This application is an XML ActiveX client controlled software that sends encrypted payment authorization requests via a local area network or Internet to Datacap's dial and Internet payment servers.

The control is available as a free 5mb self installing executable from http://www.datacapepay.com/
It may be installed before or after Maitre'D and takes just a minute to install (requires a reboot).

Split Tender Transaction:

Enable this option to accept partial payment from a Gift Card whose available amount is lower then the invoice's total. In such a case, the card is emptied, and the remaining amount must be closed with another payment type.

Note: In Maitre'D 2003, under the C:\Posera\MaitreD\Data directory, in the GiftCert.ini file, add the following configuration key and value:

Multiple Activation:

Enable this option to allow for many Gift Card activations before asking for the payment type, to be able to use the same media, such as a pre-authorized Credit Card with Electronic Funds Transfer.

Note: In Maitre'D 2003, to track these folios, add the following configuration key and value in the POS.INI files of all workstations:

MultiGCActivation=False

Note: This removes the ability to track the activated folios in the Back-Office.

Do Not Send Terminal ID:

Enable this option to remove the workstations number from the Gift Card XML file sent to the provider.

Note: in Maitre'D 2003, add the following configuration key and value in the Miscellaneous section of the Bo.ini file under the C:\Posera\MaitreD\Data directory:
