Biometrics Improved Identification

(Maitre'D 2002, from Service Pack 5 and later versions of Maitre'D)

You can improve the identification of very similar fingerprints on the Biometrics device. By default, the medium level of identification will differentiate about 1 person out of 50. These options will allow to narrow down the result by using a higher scoring result.

To only use a high identification score level, add the following line in [Miscellaneous] section of the Bo.ini file found in C:\Posera\MaitreD\Data;

FpHighIdentLevel=True

To scan the whole database and see if the fingerprint matches more then one employee, add the following line in [Miscellaneous] section of the Bo.ini file found in C:\Posera\MaitreD\Data ;

FpDupIdent=False

Note: You can NOT use Biometrics devices and magnetic cards for employees on the same system.

Note: When modifying the Bo.ini, first stop the Server through Server Control, then exit both the Server Control and P.O.S. Control modules, modify the Bo.ini Configuration Key and Value, and only then start the Server again before redoing workstation data.
