Delivery Driving Directions with MapPoint in Europe
(Maitre'D 2005, from Service Pack 4 Hot Fix 13 and later versions of
2005)
You can print delivery routes with Microsoft MapPoint 2006 Europe installed
on a Dispatch workstation.
Note: MapPoint 2006 Europe (international English) provides address
find capability for Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany,
Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden,
Switzerland and United Kingdom. French, German,
Italian and Spanish language versions are also available.
Installation
Start by installing the MapPoint application on the Dispatch workstation,
following the instructions provided by Microsoft.
Note: Any issue with the MapPoint application must be addressed to
Microsoft support.
Find search field
Enter the address Number and street Name, Postal Code and City of the restaurant,
as it appears in MapPoint, but do NOT enter the Country for now. Click
on the Find button.

Country:
Only now, if MapPoint did not guess the Country of the restaurant, select
it. This only needs to be done once. Click on OK.

Copy the Mapper.exe executable from the Prg directory.

Paste the Mapper.exe executable to the WS folder of the Dispatch workstation.

In the [Miscellaneous] section of the Bo.ini file,
add the following configuration key and value:
MapPointRegion=2
Note: North America = 1 and Europe = 2
Note: When modifying the Bo.ini, first stop the Server through Server
Control, then exit both the Server Control and P.O.S. Control modules,
modify the Bo.ini Configuration Key and Value, and only then start the
Server again before redoing workstation data.

Address 1:
In the Delivery revenue center, enter the street address Number and Name
of the restaurant, as it appears in MapPoint.
Address 2:
Also, enter the Postal Code and City of the restaurant, as it appears in
MapPoint.

Multi-Instance:
Enable this option so that the workstation does not hide the MapPoint interface.

Dispatch Workstation
When the Delivery employee enters the address of a new customer, it
must me typed in as it appears in MapPoint, including the Number, Street
name, and the Postal Code ad City in the City/State field.
The Delivery Dispatcher can select customers on the Dispatch screen,
and touch the MAP button.
After a few seconds, the Delivery Route is displayed in the MapPoint
interface. Touch the 40 COLUMNS Printer icon.
The receipt printer outputs the Driving Directions.
If a report printer is connected to the Dispatch workstation, touch
the 80 COLUMNS Printer icon.
The report printer outputs the Map and Driving Directions.
In the [Miscellaneous] section of the Bo.ini file,
add the following configuration key and value:
