Multi e-Global releases at Corporate Office

(Maitre'D Millennium and 2002)

During an upgrade roll-out, the corporate office must be able to manage broadcast from different release. The following document describes how to proceed:
The goal is to separate both release applications and run the programs in a parallel way. The only link between the 2 release is the communication server. You must use the communication server from the newest release because it supports both the current and previous version databases.

Installation of the e-Global under Maitre'D Me

On the Corporate server, install Maitre'D Me with the latest service pack

Example of the path that you could use: C:\MDME\MAITRED\

Using the custom installation program, install Broadcaster for Maitre'D Me (do not install communication server)

Example of the path that you could use: C:\MDME\CCM\

Rename the shortcut Broadcaster to Broadcaster MD Millennium to make sure the MD 2002 program does not override the broadcaster program with it's path.

Installation of the e-Global under Maitre'D 2002

On the Corporate server, install Maitre'D 2002 with the latest service pack

Example for the path that you could use: C:\MD2002\MAITRED\

Install the Corporate suite that includes Communication Server, Multi-Unit, Broadcaster, Database Manager and Analyzer.

Example of the path that could be use: C:\MD2002\CCM\
