Yes, if it's only a workstation.
Note: If that workstation is also used as an auxiliary terminal or an emergency backup server, the OS need to be Windows 98 or higher.
Yes, but with Windows XP running on the Main Server, you need to disable the limitation on blank password Login. To do so, on the main server, you need to:
1. Go to the Control Panel
2. Click on the Local Security Policies shortcut
3. In Security Settings / Local Policies, select the Security Options tab
4. Click on "Accounts: Limit local account use of blank passwords to console Login only"
5. Click on "Disabled"
6. Click on OK
Choose the proper port in the Printout field of the Receipt area in the workstation's setup.
Use the Next Customer button to process a new transaction until the first one can be completed. When you finish that new transaction, the workstation will bring you back to the first one.
Enable the Client Adjustment option in P.O.S. Control / Employee / Configuration / CMD tab. Then have the employee go to any table and touch the Client Adjustment button within the CMD list, so he can input a negative or positive as the number of customers to adjust, and exit the table.
It is possible to call most external programs whose suffix is ".exe". Note: Beware that some external programs could enter in conflict with the Maitre'D workstation or back-office application while they are activated, and even after they have been stopped. Test any such external application thoroughly at your office before giving this access onsite. Note 2: When possible, open the external program in full screen mode if there is no keyboard attached, to avoid application focus issues. Also, while an External Command is activated, the workstation functions are suspended, including by default the printouts on shared printers for which it is responsible. See the "Process Print Jobs in External Command" Technical Noteto remove that limitation.
