Setup for Motorola / Symbol LS9100 Scanner
Order in which barcodes need to be scanned
To setup the LS9100 scanner you need to scan the following barcodes.
a. SET ALL DEFAULTS
b. BAUD RATE 9600
c. NONE
d. 1 STOP BIT
e. STANDARD RS-232C
f. SCAN OPTIONS
g. <PREFIX><DATA><SUFFIX>
h. ENTER
i. SCAN PREFIX
After scanning the SCAN PREFIX barcode you need to scan the barcodes 1,
0, 0, and 2 j. 1
k. 0
l. 0
m. 2
n. SCAN SUFFIX
After scanning the SCAN SUFFIX barcode you need to scan the barcodes 1,
0, 1 and 3 o. 1
p. 0
q. 1
r. 3
s. Motorola / Symbol CODE ID CHARACTER
t. After the scanner is programmed you will need to reset the scanner by
unplugging it from the wall jack and plugging it back in.
Note: Scanning the CANCEL barcode at any point allows to cancel
the last entry.
Add a Barcode Scanner device In Maitre'D
P.O.S. Control / Workstation / Options / Devices
When adding the LS9100 Scanner device, you need to select the following
options.
Type:
Select Serial
Port:
Select the serial port of the barcode scanner.
Note: The barcode scanner cannot share this serial port with another
device.
Driver:
Select Generic
