In locations that create their own purchase orders, but that also accept
purchase orders created by the corporate office, you must use different
numbering methods. For example in such a situation, the Corporate Office
could use PO numbers starting with AA1234, and the locations could use
PO numbers starting with ZZ5678.

Use Highest PO Number Value:
If you disable this option, the next time you generate a purchase order
on location, the system uses as the base for the next PO number the last
PO number. In this example, the new purchase number would be numbered
AA1235.
If you enable this option, the next time you generate a purchase order
on location, the system uses as the base for the next PO number the highest
PO number. In this example, the new purchase number would be numbered
ZZ5679.
