Installing the DSIClientX control
The DSIClientX control is not included in Maitre'D installation. This
application is an XML ActiveX client controlled software that sends encrypted
payment authorization requests via a local area network or Internet to
Datacap's dial and Internet payment servers.
The DSIClientX control must be installed on your Maitre'D Back-Office
PC and on every workstations that will process Debit Cards with a PIN
Pad. The control is available as a free 5mb self installing executable
from http://www.datacapepay.com/
It may be installed before or after Maitre'D and takes just a minute to
install (requires a reboot).

NETePay software for VITAL VISANET Server
Datacap will provide you with software that reaches the VITAL provider
(Server software that accepts multi-threaded payment authorization requests
from DSIClientX and forwards them to the bankcard processors via Internet
or Frame Relay, resulting in 2-second responses. This Includes transaction
storage / reporting and batch management functions. This can be operated
at the store or enterprise level. Multi-merchant gateway versions are
also available, which requires an always-on IP connection.
Note: NETePay requires Microsoft Windows XP Professional (SP2) with
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 with 128-bit encryption.
PIN Pad for Debit Card Transactions
With this software you have the choice between three Verifone PIN Pads.
Verifone 1000:
This PIN Pad comes with a small box called a Peripherical Device Controller.
This device is plugged to a serial com port on your workstation and also
plugged into the power supply outlet.
Verifone 2000:
This PIN Pad includes the Peripherical Device Controller and is directly
plugged to a serial com port on your workstation.
Verifone SC 5000:
This PIN Pad includes the Peripherical Device Controller and is directly
plugged to a serial com port on your workstation.
Note: The PIN Pad must be set by Datacap with the 2000 emulation. Also,
in P.O.S. Control / Workstation / Device / PIN Pad, the Driver filed must
be set to Verifone 2000.
Available options at the Back-Office PC
Close Batch Setting:
In the Maitre'D Back-Office program go to EFT / View / Option. Under the
operation page, select the External close batch option. Enable this option
to use an external application to close the EFT batch. For some host based
protocol, the integrated close batch feature can not be used. These batches
must be closed by using an external application provided by the service
provider.
Close batch:
In the Maitre'D Back-Office program go to EFT / File / Close Batch. This
will open the NETePay administrator that will give you the option to close
the Batch. In essence Maitre'D Back-Office calls the NETePay administrator
program. It is in NETePay where the close batch will be finalized.
Report:
Every report is available on the NETePay administrator program under View
/ Batch report View.
Refund:
In the Maitre'D Back-Office program go to EFT / Transaction / Return Transaction
and enter the proper information with the credit card number.
*WARNING* Do not press Clear / Erase Batch until the batch was closed.
Doing so will result in the loss of the entire batch with no possibility
of retrieval. Instead close the batch first then you can clear to flush
out any un-finalized transactions.
Setting the Employees
P.O.S. Control / Employees / Configuration / Invoice / Payment
EFT reprint:
Enable this option to allow the employee to print duplicate EFT vouchers
before the transaction is finalised.
P.O.S. Control / Employees / Configuration / Media
Enable all Credit Cards and the Debit Card payment types.
Available options at the workstation
Regular transaction:
Pre-authorizations will allow to add tips and then finalize the transactions.
Modify the media type:
In case of a mistake you use the last 4 digits of the check, and then touch
the close button. You will see your CC transaction in red, touch the transaction,
you will see an option to Void Current Credit Authorization Status or
Modify Check Amounts, and then you could modify your media to cash or
any other form of payment.
Refund:
If you want to do a refund a transaction you can do a table 0 void, and
then select the media type. Maitre'D gives you the option to do a refund,
and then it will print a receipt to give to the customer.
Note: Debit refunds are not supported.
How to process Debit Cards
Ring up a transaction and touch the Close button. When you reach the Payment
screen, touch the Debit Card button, and enter the full amount, or simply
touch Enter, and follow the instructions on the PIN Pad for the rest of
the transaction. Once the transaction is accepted, the workstation will
print an approval receipt.
