After clicking OK, answer Yes when prompted to redo workstation data.
Setting up a Windows workstation
The Windows operating system and the touch screen driver need to be installed
on the workstation before you proceed with these additional configurations.
Setup the network
My Computer / Control Panel / Network
The following network component must be installed:
Client For Microsoft Network
The appropriate network Adaptor you are using
File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Network
NetBEUI or TCP/IP (either one, not both)
Note: Use NetBEUI only if you have both Windows and DOS workstations
on the same network, in Maitre'D 2003 or earlier.
Step by step instructions to set up the drivers listed above:
Click on the Add button on the configuration tab.
Select Client, then Microsoft and finally Client
for Microsoft Network and click on OK.
Click the Add button again,
Select Adapter and the select the appropriate network
card and configure the IRQ and the right address,
Click the Add button yet again,
Select Protocol, then Microsoft and from the list
select TCP/IP, or NetBEUI only if you also have DOS workstations.
Remove the NetBEUI protocol if you do not have
any DOS workstation
Remove the TCP/IP protocol if you also have DOS
workstations, in Maitre'D 2003 or earlier.
Remove any IPX protocol and click on the OK button.
Click on the Identification tab and enter the computer's
name i.e.: WS01 for workstation number 1 and enter the Workgroup's name
PSI.
Click on OK.
Restart the workstation.
Setting the TCP/IP - Ethernet Adapter

Use default Off Line IP address for your Maitre'D application. IP address
for the Back-Office PC is 192.168.0.100
Subnet Mask:
If a Subnet Mask was assigned to this computer, by running WINIPCFG
from Start / Run, enter that Subnet Mask. If there was no Subnet Mask
assigned to this PC enter 255.255.255.0
Prevent a Windows Login
prompt at Startup
To prevent Windows 95 / 98 to ask for user name and password at startup,
follow these steps:
Right-click Network neighborhood, and click Properties.
In the Configuration tab, select Windows Login in
the primary Network Login box, and then click OK.
Restart Windows and when prompt for password at the
Login screen, use the computer name for the user name and leave the new
Password and Confirm New Password boxes blank, click OK to validate this
new password.
Installing the Workstation
program
If your workstation has devices using OPOS drivers to be operational,
install the OPOS drivers provided by the manufacturer before installing
the workstation program. Insert the Maitre'D installation disk in the
workstation's CD-ROM drive and follow the instruction on screen.
Select: Install Back-Office and Point Of Sale
Select: Install Windows Point Of Sale
Note:
If you are not installing from a CD, navigate through the network to the
following directory on the Main Server;
C:\POSERA\MaitreD\PRG\setup
and start the following application;
WSSetup.exe
Wait while the system start extracting some files
needed for the program.
The system welcomes you, click on Next to proceed
the installation.
The End User License Agreement (EULA) is displayed.
You have to agree proceed with the rest of installation.
If you run the program from the local workstation
the following screen appears. Answer Yes to install the workstation program
at the Back-Office computer. From this installation, a shortcut to the
local workstation is added to the startup menu. This shortcut allows the
end user to access the local workstation without logging in the Maitre'D
Back-Office. Click on Next.
If you answered No to the previous screen, select
your Back-Office computer from the network list. Click on OK to continue.
Enter the workstation number and click on Next.
At this point, the system asks you for the destination
folder in which the Maitre'D POS software should be installed at the workstation.
You need to accept the default choice "C:\WS".
The system asks to install the OPOS Controls on your
workstation. If your workstation has any devices operating with OPOS drivers
answer Yes otherwise answer No. Remember if you are using OPOS drivers,
they had to be installed prior to the POS program at the workstation using
the manufacturers drivers.
If you answered Yes to the previous screen, the program
prompts to select the appropriate drivers for each device that is installed
on the workstation.
Select the devices and then click on Modify to set the
drivers.
Once all OPOS devices are defined, click on OK.
You will be prompt to restart the computer for the
settings to take effect. Select "Yes, I want to restart my computer
now" and click on Finish.
Repeat the steps starting at "Setting up a Windows Workstation"
to setup additional workstation.
