Selected Posera distributors' employees have access to perform their own
Key Code activation through our secure web site. This was developed so
that you can activate previously ordered Maitre'D Licenses, 24 hours a
day, 7 days a week.
To do so, you will first need to be registered in Posera's CRM. If your
email address and password is not listed in our system, have your manager
send an email to our support department at support@posera.com
stating that you are an employee of your company that they wish to register
for access to the Distributors section of our web site. Only emails originating
from a known manager's address will be processed.
Please note that before your new access can be used, you will need to allow
up to 5 business days for Posera to create the corresponding new record
in our user database. After this one week delay has passed, your manager
will need to identify your individual user's profile as one that has the
ability to activate Maitre'D software via our web site, and is explained
at the end of the Distributors
Web Site Section technical note.
Only after these steps can you go to the Distributor's Login page where
you will be able to use your previously created and approved profile to
access the secure Distributors section.
It is important to understand that activations done using this user are
permanent and that only authorized employees of your company can use this
feature. For security reasons, employees must not exchange password information.
As well, please note that before a particular license activation can be
accessed, your purchase manager will still need to send in a Purchase
Order, and allow 4 to 6 business hours for Posera to create the corresponding
new record in our license database.
Only after the half a business day delay has passed can you go to the Distributor's
Login page where you will be able to use your profile to activate a license
through the secure Distributors section.
On the Distributors Login page, use your email address and password for
our web site, and click on "Login".
On the Distributors page, click on "Orders and Licensing".
On the Orders & Licensing page,click on "License Activation".
On the License Activation page, enter the serial number printed on the
Maitre'D installation disk case or on the invoice provided by Posera,
and then click on "Search".
If you have not entered the Serial Number EXACTLY as it provided by
Posera, you will get an Error message, and be given the chance to correct
your error and try again.
If you entered the Serial Number properly, you will be presented with
the Transactions page, where you will click on "Activate".
Note: If the Activate link is not displayed, it means the license has
already been activated. If you need to activate the same license number
on a second computer, contact Posera technical support who will assist
you in removing the license from the first PC.
On the Activate page, enter the Restaurant Name EXACTLY as it was
entered within Maitre'D's license screen, including spaces and Capital
Letters, as well as the Site Code generated by Maitre'D's license process,
EXACTLY as it was generated, including spaces and Capital Letters,
and then click on "Generate".
If you have not entered the Restaurant Name or Site Code EXACTLY as
they appear within Maitre'D, you will get an Error message, and be given
the chance to correct your error and try again.
Note: Maitre'D's Site Code contains hexadecimal numbers, so there never
is a letter "O", but there can be some Zero digits (0). Also
be careful not to confuse the letter "B" with the digit Eight
(8).
If you have entered the Restaurant Name and Site Code correctly, you
will get the Confirmation page, with the Site Key, or activation code,
and be given the option to continue on to another activation.
Note: Those are also hexadecimal numbers.
Activation of more than one server on the same license over the Internet:
If you want to purchase, for the same license number, an Auxiliary Terminal
and/or Emergency Backup server in addition to your Main Back-Office Server,
you can also activate those different servers over the Internet.
Because any server record can be accessed through the Internet for each
license, in such a situation, you could activate your records in any order.
However, the Main Back-Office Server always has to be activated first.
Therefore, the first time you access that license number, the site code
you supply has to be for the Main Back-Office Server. The resulting site
key will also only be valid to activate the Main Back-Office Server.
The second time or third time you access that same license number, the
site code you supply can be for either the Auxiliary Terminal or Emergency
Backup, in any order you prefer.
The same logic applies If you want to purchase additional options on the
same license number. You can also activate those new features in any order
you prefer over the Internet, after the Main License has been activated.
