Unassigned Waiter Cards

(Maitre'D 2003, and later versions of Maitre'D)

P.O.S. Control / View / Options / Security

It is possible to use unassigned pre-programmed cards. The system will look for the password associated with that card instead of the server number. Make sure that you are using a unique password that is not currently used by another valid server because the system will use the first employee that is using this password in the employee database.
Note: New cards that you purchase through Posera have exclusive password, as opposed to Legacy Employee Cards.

Allowing Card Assignment in the Back-Office

P.O.S. Control / Employees / Configuration / Function

Access Setup:

Enable this option to give access to the employee (manager or head server), who will assign cards to employees. If there are no Biometrics devices defined on the workstations, the system will know to use the Magnetic Card Swipe Reader instead of the Biometrics Setup function.
Note: You can NOT use Biometrics devices and magnetic cards for employees on the same system.
