Report Center / Report / Custom Reports
To give management powerful reporting on the workstation, you can customize
40 columns reports from the Report Center to be generated and printed
on a workstation printer. Reports pertaining to the P.O.S. Control, Time
and Attendance and Inventory Management modules can thus be made available
at the front of the house.
These reports can be accessed through the Detailed Report button within
the Function screen.
For example, some 40 columns custom reports for the Point Of Sale could
be:
Values and quantities of the coupons applied.
40 column version of the Back-Office's Summary of
Servers (Detailed) report.
40 column version of the Back-Office's Inventory
Report, including a section with food cost percentage on sales.
The following Crystal 10 reports are available on the Maitre'D
web site.
Note: Crystal 10 is not compatible with Windows 98 or NT on the
Main Server.
Highlight the POS choice in the possible application frame, on the right,
and click on ADD.
Make sure the POS application was moved to the available applications
frame, on the left, and click on OK.
The POS application is listed in the Applications window. Click on OK,
and exit from the Report Center module.
P.O.S. Control / View / Options / Configuration / POS
You can control of the timeout when generating a custom Crystal Report
on the Point Of Sale, to avoid monopolizing the Back-Office Report Center
module for too long.
Enter the number of seconds in the following field:

Note: After this delay has expired, a "Timeout During Report Generation"
message will be displayed. 30 seconds is the recommended default.
You must give employees access to these reports for them to be able to
generate them from the workstation.
To give employees access to ALL Custom 40 Columns Reports from the Point
Of Sale, enable the following option:
Report Selection
Note: This option is usually reserved to the Manager configuration.
On the workstation's Function screen, touch:
Detailed Report
On the Detailed Report screen, touch the Report Title you entered in
the first step.
Touch the proper filter.
Wait for the Back-Office to generate the report and send it to the workstation
Note: If the delay entered in the Report Timeout field of P.O.S. Control
/ View / Options / Configuration / POS expires, a "Timeout During
Report Generation" message will be displayed.
Touch OK to print the report on the workstation's 40 columns printer.
